My wife and I have our son at Green Bay School and our daughter, who will start in 2020. Our family has been affiliated with Green Bay School for many years and it is great to be able give back and support the School as part of a governance team with other passionate, considerate and cohesive Trustee members.
I am a Chartered Professional Engineer currently employed in the construction sector for a tier 1 main contractor, working specifically in building systems and services for large scale commercial construction projects.
I offer the BOT my governance and strategic experience as a previous Board Member for Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ, now Engineering NZ). During my four years with IPENZ, a not-for-profit organisation, my fellow Board colleagues and I undertook significant strategy planning to align the organisation to better serve its 17,000 members. I am also a current Executive Committee member of the Outboard Boating Club of Auckland where as well as general governance, my role focuses on assisting with strategic site master plan to develop and enhance facilities onsite in line with the vision of the club.
My role on the Green Bay BOT sees me focusing predominantly on school facilities and property which utilises my skills and experience in the engineering/construction sector, as well as previous governance roles.
