Free cycling events in your area!
I am working alongside the local Bike group ‘Bike Avondale’ to put on a variety of events in the Whau area throughout September, some of which might be of interest to your staff and/or students. A list of remaining events and dates:
8th, 15th, 22nd Sep (8-12pm)—Bike Kitchens at the Avondale Sunday Market. We will be hosting a pop-up bike kitchen where you can bring your and your family's bikes along for a quick check and easy repairs, for free!
12th Sep (6-9pm)—Ride, Reel & Relax. This event is an after-work evening group ride that finishes at Browne Cafe, where some cycling-related short films will be shown, and drinks and snacks will be available.
14th, 21st Sep (1-4pm)—Family Ride and Wildlife Treasure Hunt at Archibald Park. These two events would be great for the students at your school. Parents/carers must accompany children for this fun-filled day out at the park, which includes a treasure hunt, music, snacks, and cycling challenges at the Kelston pump track.
