Kids Art Workshop: Be Part of the Te Whau Pathway Project!

Join Us This School Holidays! Drop in | FREE | 5 - 12 year olds Come make, create, and be a part of something amazing! Dive into a series of fun, drop-in art workshops at ALL GOODS, and help shape the vibrant Te Whau Pathway. What’s on Offer? • Bunting Making: Craft colourful flags to adorn the pathway. • Tile Painting: Design and paint tiles that will be featured along the Whau. • Clay Creations: Sculpt your unique pieces to add a personal touch to the project. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella at Glen Eden Playhouse 13th - 20 July 2024 Get ready to be captivated by the enchanting performance of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre this July school holidays. Performed by a youth cast aged 18 and under, the magical and romantic Rodgers and Hammerstein's rendition of this classic tale brings to life the timeless elements of glass slippers, a magical pumpkin, and a stunning ballgown in the heartwarming story of a young girl finding her prince with all the well-known characters including Cinderella, her Fairy Godmother, and her unkind Stepmother and comical Stepsisters.

Water Experiments with Watercare Tuesday 9 July 10 - 11.30am New Lynn Library | Te Pātaka Kōrero o Te Rewarewa Students will learn that water exists in three different states: solid, liquid and gas. They will discover how this relates to the water cycle, then make their own model water cycle in a bag.

Matariki Clay Stars! Monday 8 & Wednesday 10 July 12.30pm - 2.30pm New Lynn Library | Te Pātaka Kōrero o Te Rewarewa Come to these workshops hosted by New Lynn Library & Te Toi Uku Crown Lynn Museum, and make a star for Matariki! Your decorations will be fired and glazed, and you can take them home afterwards. Supported by artist Rowena from Blue Turtle Design. Registrations required. Monday session: Ages 8-12 Wednesday session: Ages 13+

Fried Bread Workshop for Tamariki Thursday 11 July 10.30 - 11.30am New Lynn Community Centre A fun morning of making and learning about fry bread for tamariki and their parents. Come along and get your hands messy while rolling out dough and cooking up delicious treats. Aged 7+ Registration required. Please bring a container so you can take your dough home.

Tuku Atu, Tuku Mai Friday 12 July 10am - 12pm New Lynn Community Centre Join Awhina Murupaenga, Director of Whatu Creative and experience the enriching art of tukutuku; traditional Māori latticework. Bring the whole whānau and immerse yourself in the rich whakapapa and storytelling of Tukutuku while you learn to weave your own Miniature version! Suitable for children ages 8-12 years. 3D Design Workshop Tuesday 16 July 2.30 - 4.30pm New Lynn Library | Te Pātaka Kōrero o Te Rewarewa Learn how to create your own digital 3D models, use a 3D printer, and try out our 3D pens to test your drawing skills in celebration of Matariki! ⭐️ This workshop is perfect for kids aged from 8 years old. Open to ages 5yrs to 13yrs BUT if demand for an older group happy to create a group with older students if numbers are $280 (includes 1.5hr group lesson, 1.5hour access to the snow and 1.5hour ski/snowboard, boots and helmet hire) Clothing and gloves can be hired for $21 and $8 respectively.

Green Bay School - ICAS 2024
The International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) is an independent skills-based assessment programme. ICAS is open to Year 4 to Year 8 students, offering a range of assessments in various subjects. Taking part provides an excellent opportunity for students to challenge themselves and gain recognition for their academic abilities. Please find attached a letter explaining ICAS in more detail, including how it is run and the benefits for students.

Glendene Athletics
A small family-oriented club that aims to get kids involved in athletics and encourage them to give it a try.
We cater to children aged 2-14 years and are passionate about growing our numbers.

The Glen Eden Tennis Club has been offering coached tennis for juniors aged 5-18 for approximately 30 years. We are a community driven tennis club and welcome both juniors, families and tennis players of all ages! We have some spaces in our junior classes on a Tuesday afternoon for Term 1, 2024 starting today, Tuesday 30th January 2024. We supply the rackets and balls.
